I always assumed it was a trademark, like the stork on the Crane Pluming fixtures. But when I saw this one in my urinal at the San Francisco Airport today and found myself aiming at it I thought there's probably something more brilliant and purposeful behind it. Sure enough, a quick search confirms that it improves a man's aim and reduces spilling by 80%! Here's the best bit - men just naturally aim for the fly. "They don't even think about it, and they don't need to read a user's manual; it's just an instinctive reaction." My only question is, why did they put this one so far to the left where there is bound to be over spray? I'm just saying...
